there’s a guy on the internet named michael david crawford. he’s a computer man with schizoaffective disorder who cannot stop posting about himself. i first found out about him through his posting on kuro5hin.org. that husk of a site is now basically echos of his interaction with it. he was involved with a lawsuit with a former employer and deleted his account, but without his influence it would be completely dead, sorry rusty. he is a linux nerd and completely self involved, dumping every possible detail out there on the internet, which evidentially caused him legal issues when his employer wondered why he wasn’t doing his job. or something. i wasn’t really following every twist of this stranger’s drama too closely.

i’ve seen two references to him outside of kuro5hin links, one being a friend randomly linking a video he took and set to his music, which he presses upon people at free recitals at starbucks (http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOneTrueCrawford). the other being a recent episode of CBC’s wiretap, where he discusses solipsism (http://www.cbc.ca/wiretap/episode/2012/05/04/hell-is-other-people/). interesting of note to any MDC fans is that he mentions meeting a lover in the psych ward, which sounds like it could be bonita.

plowing through kuro5hin.org looking for any references to crawford, MDC, ogg frog, mike, etc. can bring up a whole warren of bizarre stuff. his own network of websites is also interesting, if superficially sanitized (http://www.geometricvisions.com/).

i know this doesn’t make any sense to anyone.

Hi Trammie,

Thanks for the reply. Does the barcode need to be entirely visible and readable? I don’t drink obscure beverages, just pretty mainstream ones like Coke and popular beers. I’m worried that crushing it sideways could still obscure the barcode if it’s printed near the bottom of the can.
